Teachy is an online platform designed to connect teachers and creches in Ireland.

• Teachers can create profiles, review creches, and apply for job opportunities.
• Creches can create institutional profiles, post job listings, and manage applications from teachers.
• The Platform is operated in Ireland and subject to Irish and EU law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. User Accounts

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding contracts to use Teachy.

2.2 Account Registration

Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its accuracy.

2.3 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.

2.4 Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or compromise the integrity of the Platform.

3. User Roles and Responsibilities

Teachers

• May create and maintain a professional profile.
• May apply for job opportunities posted by creches.
• May post reviews about creches based on their experience.
• Must not post false, defamatory, or misleading reviews or information.

Creches

• May create institutional profiles representing their childcare facilities.
• May post job opportunities and manage applications.
• Must ensure job postings comply with Irish employment laws, including non-discrimination and transparency.
• Are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any job listing or hiring process conducted through the Platform.

4. Content and Reviews

4.1 Ownership of Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, including reviews, job listings, and profile information. By posting content, you grant Teachy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform for operational and promotional purposes.

4.2 Moderation

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards. We are not obligated to monitor all user activity but may do so at our discretion.

4.3 Reviews Disclaimer

Reviews represent the personal opinions of individual users and do not reflect the views of Teachy. We do not verify or endorse any review and are not liable for inaccuracies or disputes arising from user-generated content.

5. Job Applications and Offers

Teachy is not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency. We simply provide a digital environment where teachers and creches can connect.

We are not responsible for:

• The accuracy or completeness of job listings.
• Employment decisions made by creches.
• Any contractual arrangements, negotiations, or disputes between users.

All hiring and contractual arrangements occur directly between teachers and creches.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Create fake or misleading profiles or impersonate others.
• Post false, defamatory, or unlawful content.
• Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind.
• Collect or "scrape" user data without consent.
• Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the Platform.
• Post or transmit viruses or malicious software.
• Interfere with the normal functioning of the Platform.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account and possible legal action.

7. Liability Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available."

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of user content or job listings.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from:

• Interactions between teachers and creches,
• The outcome of job applications,
• The use or inability to use the Platform, or
• Any indirect or consequential damages.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform and its materials (including our name, logo, interface, and software) belong to Teachy or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written consent.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may modify or update these Terms from time to time. When changes are significant, we will notify users via email or Platform notice. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of Teachy are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
